On Saturday, September 22, 2012 Brittany Barry & Brett Hess were married! I met them through one of my past bride & grooms..Carolyn & Jason! Everything about this wedding was classy, elegant and just simply beautiful! My second shooter, Christina and I started at the University Club taking some getting ready shots of the guys and the girls. I absolutely LOVE the University Club! What an amazing place filled with so much beauty and character. Everytime I get the chance to photograph there I am just thrilled! After some fun getting ready shots Brittany and Brett did their first look which is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding. To see the groom’s expression when he first sees the bride is so memorable and touching and this was no exception! You could tell that Brett was floored when he saw Brittany for the first time! What a gorgeous dress and the flower in her hair was a perfect compliment to her detailed, elegant gown! She looked classic and stunningly beautiful! After the first look the bridal party headed over to Millenium Park for some great, fun shots. The weather could not have been better. Sunny, not too hot, not too cold…. perfect!! After Millenium Park and heading over to the Wrigley building for a couple more quick shots we headed to St. James Chapel for the ceremony. Again the place had a lot of character and the ceremony was lovely! Finally we headed back to the University Club for cocktail hour and the fun reception. The reception hall was exquisite and breathtaking! Everyone seemed to have a great time with all the toasts and dancing! I truly loved capturing this wedding and I’m so thankful to Brittany & Brett for choosing me to document their beautiful wedding day!! They were both just great to work with and the nicest people!
