On July 31st, 2010 Claire Gilbert & Mark Conkle were married at the beautiful campus of the University of Chicago! Wow…what a gorgeous campus! Both the girls and the guys rented out this quaint house on campus and got ready there. After getting ready for a few hours we went to the bridge area on campus and did the first look shots! It was such a beautiful area for that with the small bridge and the greenery all around us! After that we spent a few hours going around to important locations on campus taking pictures of the two of them before the ceremony! We made sure to grab some shots in front of Hitchcock Hall where the two of them meet each other for the first time! All the architecture and the ivy growing on the old buildings made for sure a gorgeous setting for these two lovely people! Claire & Mark were so easy and fun to work with and their family & friends were equally sweet and kind. They made me feel very comfortable with them right from the start. After going around campus we stopped at Promontory Point for a few images with the bridal party and we made it just in time to get married!! We were almost late for the ceremony but we got there just in time! Getting ready took longer than we expected but doesn’t everything on your wedding day? They were married at the beautiful Bond Chapel with all the dark woods and stained glass windows! It was a smaller chapel but it had so much character as did the entire location! After the ceremony we took some family photos in the gardens across the street and made our way over to Ida Noyes Hall for the fun cocktail hour and reception! All in all it was a perfect day with great weather and great people! Congratulations Claire & Mark! I wish you many years of happiness and a wonderful life together! You are such a great couple!
