On June 27, 2010 Kristen Noble & Matt Wilson were married at the Lutheran Church of Good Shepard in Prospect Heights. We started the day with getting ready shots at the Westin Hotel in Wheeling with the girls and also at Matt’s mom’s house for shots of the guys. Matt is in the Marines and shots of him getting his full attire on turned out great!! The ceremony was beautiful and they had a nice smaller reception party at the church immediately following the ceremony before heading downtown for some great bridal party shots and shots of the happy couple!! We started at the Water Tower (where Matt proposed to Kristen) and ended up at the Wrigley building. The night ended with a nice dinner at Flemings in Lincolnshire! I asked Kristen & Matt to write up an excerpt on their story and this is what Matt had to say!
“There are several movies which depict our exact situation, a great number of them unfortunately feature Hugh Grant, but neither the quirkiness of “Love Actually” nor the teenage angst of “Youth in Revolt” can detract from a situation which is uniquely ours. “When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew”. Love at first sight is a topic that a great manyof us are rightly dubious; of course that is until it strikes.The back story is this. I joined the Marine Corps in 2005 and have been working in American Embassies since 2007. I was on home on leave before reporting to my last assignment at the American Embassy in Tallinn, Estonia when I made a fateful decision. I purchased three day passes to the Lollapalooza music festival at Grant Park in Chicago. Little did I know that I would meet the love of my life. I was waiting with a few friends for one of my favorite bands to come on stage when the brother of my best friendwalked up with a group of people, and there she was. I knew right then that it was all over. I wasn’t sure if she was dating any of the guys so I basically ignored her to avoid any confrontations. This forced her to be the assertive one essentially picking me up. We went on a date two days later and that was it. I proposed to her on Valentine’s Day in front of the Chicago water tower on Michigan Ave after a dinner at the 95thin the Hancock Center. I chose the water tower because it is a symbol of endurance and steadfast strength in the face of adversity. The water tower was the only building to survive the great fire as we will survive the “fires” to come. We will have been together for eleven months we get married, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She is the love of my life and I’m not sure how I ever lived without her”
