On September 21, 2013 Kathy Williams & Tom Barry were married at the beautiful St. Gregory the Great Church in the city. What a beautiful wedding day! I met up with the girls at Kathy’s place in the city for some fun getting ready shots. Kathy looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress! After that we headed over to the church for the ceremony. I loved this church. It was ornate and had so much character. There were balconies that made for some great shots from up high as well. After the ceremony the entire bridal party headed over the Lincoln Park Zoo area for some great outdoor shots. We started at the Grant Memorial which was such a great backdrop for shots. Then we headed to the People’s Gas Pavilion and the gardens outside of the conservatory to finish off the shoot before heading to Schaumburg for the reception.
The reception was held at Maggiano’s in Schaumburg. I love the dark woods and the family oriented décor of that location. It made for a very warm reception feel and the food was so delicious!! They had a table with pictures of their relatives on their wedding day. Some of them dated back to the 1800’s which I thought was such an amazing thing. Everyone made me feel like part of the family too. It was a really fun reception! Almost everyone was off their feet and on the dance floor the entire night. I love it! You could feel the energy and fun in the air.
I want to thank Kathy & Tom for having me capture their beautiful wedding day. They are the sweetest and most generous couple I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
