On August 7th, 2010 Marusa Polanski & Daniel Hubbard were married! I had the pleasure of meeting Marusa and Daniel at her sister’s wedding I shot back in June! Marusa & Daniel are so sweet, laid back and totally cute together! The entire family is wonderful and everyone once again looked gorgeous!!
We started at the house taking getting ready and family shots. The grandmother gave Marusa her blessing. Then we were off to Sts. Volodymyr & Olha Ukrainian Church on Oakley Street. Once again I can’t tell you how beautiful this church is! It’s truly amazing! The ceremony itself was filled with Ukrainian traditions including the Starosty, Ukrainain Embroidery, Icons & the Coronation Rite. After the ceremony we headed to the Planetarium to take some bride & groom shots along with bridal party. The Planetarium always has such a beautiful skyline for images!
There were more traditions during the reception as well. The Korovai (the wedding bread and heart & soul of the wedding reception) and the Hopak (traditional Ukranian dance that features a medley of leaps, spins & kicks) performed by the Hromovytsia Ukrainian Dance Ensemble of Chicago! This was the same ensemble that entertained us at Nadya’s wedding and once again they were amazing!!
Another great wedding celebration for the Polanski, Pace & Hubbard family!! I’m sure however they are just exhausted with all the wedding planning they have had to deal with this year!! Congratulations Marusa & Daniel! I wish you all the best in your marriage and life together. Thank you for having me be a part of your special day!! Here are some of the highlights of that special day!!
